Why acquirers use it
The package lenders and investors expect should not depend on one person’s spreadsheet. Acquiror AI, built by Umplify, makes every number traceable to its source, every override logged with a reason, and every decision recorded.
Who it is for
- Independent sponsors and repeat SMB acquirers
- Search funds and self-funded searchers
- Private equity firms and family offices
- Corporate development teams
- M&A advisors and brokers
- Canadian acquirers who want their deal data stored in Canada
How a deal flows
- Upload. Drop in the CIM and financial statements. Vera, the built-in AI analyst, detects document types and extracts the financials, with a confidence score on every figure.
- Normalize earnings. Build the QoE, review add-backs, and lock EBITDA.
- Value it three ways. Market comparables, DCF, and adjusted net assets, then weight, run scenarios, and override with logged reasons.
- Underwrite the debt. Model multiple instruments, run DSCR stress tests, check debt capacity, and produce a credit memo.
- Test durability. Customer concentration, retention, backlog, and working capital.
- Generate the memo. Up to 13 sections drafted from approved figures, with an evidence appendix and branded PDF export.
What is in the workspace
Sixteen modules share one deal record, so nothing gets re-keyed between tools:
- Deal work: pipeline, documents, tasks, contacts, and analytics
- Financials: Quality of Earnings, income statement, balance sheet, and working capital
- Analysis: revenue durability, valuation across 62 industry segments with seeded benchmarks, and financing
- Decisions: a decision log (Go, No-Go, Conditional, Parked) exportable to PDF, Excel, or JSON, plus the investment memo
- AI: insights and Q&A over the data room, with numbered citations back to the source
Vera, an AI analyst that cites its sources
Vera reads the data room, extracts figures, answers questions, and drafts the memo. Every answer carries numbered citations, every extracted figure shows its confidence, and when Vera cannot support an answer from the evidence, it says so rather than guessing.
- Platform AI is included, or bring your own OpenAI or Anthropic key, stored in a key vault
- Customer data is not used to train models
- An MCP server lets your own AI tools work with your deals
Security and data residency
- Deals, financials, documents, search indexes, and secrets are stored at rest in Canada
- Every organization is its own tenant, and every data access path is scoped to it
- Sign-in runs on Microsoft Entra External ID; Acquiror AI never stores a password
- Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest
Some processing, including platform AI inference, runs in the United States. The Acquiror AI security page lists exactly what runs where and what the product does and does not have today.
